
The Ulster Canal Cycle Trail travels through a rich scenic tapestry of lowland lakes and rushing rivers. An array of tourist attractions are situated along the route and include forest parks, historic houses and gallaries with plenty of opportunities to stop at traditional restaurants and pubs to savour local specialities.

Gentle Gradients
With much to see along the route, take time to stop in the local villages and town as well as Peatlands Park, The Argory, Rossmore Forest Park and Clones Stores
This route has been sign-posted following the national cycle networks blue signs, with finals on top of poles to indicate Ulster Canal Cycle Trail.
Going from Maghery to Benburb follow the Route 11 signs.
From Benburb to Tynan follow the Route 95 signs.
Going from Tynan to Clones follow the route 91 signs.
If leaving from Clones the same route numbers will be used.

If travelling my car, parking facilities are available both at Maghery County Park or if you decide to start from Clones parking facilities are available at Clones Stores.
Majority of road cycling will be on small country route, with a small element on forest track
Along the route there are a number of traditional restaurants cafes, pubs to savour local specialities. Also in the majority of villages and town you pass through public toilet facilities are available.
This route has accessible toilet facilities.
The route is gentle gradients along county roads.
