Route Description

Blessingbourne Mountain Bike Trail consists of a 4km circular ‘blue’ grade trail and a 8km circular ‘red’ grade trail.

Blue grade trails are moderate and are suitable for intermediate cyclist/ mountain bikers with basic off road riding skill. A good standard of fitness can help.

Red grade trails are difficult and are suitable for proficient mountain bikers with good off-road riding skills and a higher level of fitness and stamina.

The trails contain Technical Trail Features or TTFs, such as rocky sections, drops, bumps and turns – these are designed to teach riders new skills or improve existing skills. TTFs are great fun but riders should not attempt any TTFs unless they are confident of their ability.

Getting to the Start

Less than 1mile from the town of Fivemiletown, Blessingbourne is easy to find. From Fivemiletown take the B122 to Fintona passing the Church of Ireland on the right. Soon after the church, the road begins to veer left, turn right onto the Aghingowly Rd, passing the Gate Lodge and main entrance to the Estate - this is a private entrance, do not use. Continue for another 0.3 miles and then take the first right into the Estate up a concrete laneway. The car park is approx 50m on the right.

The entire route is off road within the privately owned Estate. You can expect to see farm vehicles and visitors cars on the last 50m of the trail as you head back to the car park.
