Loughshore Trail
DayOne Antrim Loughshore Park and Reas Wood to Maghery Country Park (49 miles)
This 49 mile section follows close to the Lough between the towns of Randalstown and Toome, where it also passes attractions such as Antrim Castle, Randalstown Castle, Cranfield Church, Portglenone Forest and Marina. From Ballyronan to Maghery, this part of the route follows minor country roads and also passes numerous attractions. Some of which are Kinturk Cultural Centre, Coyles Cottage, Ardboe Cross and Abbey, Mountjoy Castle, Coney Islands and Washingbay Wetlands.
DayTwo Maghery Country Park to Antrim Loughshore Park and Reas Wood (63 miles)
From Maghery to Kinnego the route does not follow the whole way along Lough, it verves off south, further away from the Lough passing through the town of Portadown, and crosses the River Bann before heading back up towards the Lough to Kinnego. Along the way you can stop off at Craigavon Wateresports Centre, Tannaghmore Gardens Farm and Museum, Oxford Island and Lough Neagh Discovery Centre. From Kinnego to the Loughshore Park the route travels along side the Lough towards Antrim through the towns of Glenavy and Crumlin, where it also passes attractions such as Gawleys Gate Inn, Portmore Lough and Nature Reserve, Rams Island and Greenmount College.
