Description

The Lagan and Lough Cycle Way offers a total of 21 miles of flat, traffic-free, and scenic paths. The route connects Lisburn to Jordanstown and follows the beautiful Lagan Towpath and Belfast Lough. On the way you can enjoy stunning views over Belfast's bustling city centre, the River Lagan, the Belfast Hills, Samson and Goliath, and Cave Hill. There are also a number of attractions such as the historic Giant's Ring, the National Trust property at Minnowburn, and a number of bird observation points. Interested in art? Then look out for some of the pieces of sculpture along the way... highlights include the 'Big Fish' at Donegall Quay, the 'Concentric Twist' at Lisburn, and the 4 'Millennium Mileposts'. You'll find this route is suitable for people of all ages and abilities as the path is flat, mostly traffic-free, and wide.

How To Get There
If you live locally why not cycle to your starting point! If you are travelling from further afield you can reach Belfast (Central Station), Lisburn, and Jordanstown by train. There is also car parking available at each of the public parks the route passes through.
