Volunteer Ranger Programme

The National Cycle Network is co-ordinated by a charity called Sustrans (the sustainable transport charity), and as such the network is always on the look out for eager volunteers to become Rangers!

What does a Volunteer Ranger do?

Rangers are volunteers who help look after a part of the National Cycle Network - usually in their local area

Duties may include:

  • Monitoring signage
  • Reporting damage to the trails
  • Reporting dangers or obstructions on the trail ...and more!
  • Helping with promotional events and bike rides
