Start/Finish: Ballyshannon / Larne

Day 1 - Ballyshannon - Castlederg (43 miles / 69 km)

Leave bustling Ballyshannon behind and head out toward Belleek for a tour of Ireland's oldest pottery factory.  Castle Caldwell Nature Reserve just beyond is a must, as is Lough Derg where pilgrims have visited for over 1000 years. Travel up the beautiful, deserted Derg Valley and pull in at Castlederg.

Let the Dance BeginDay 2 - Castlederg - Derry City (43 miles / 69km)

Leave Castlederg and pedal through the lush canopy of Baronscourt Estate , passing Harry Avery's Castle on the outskirts of Newtowstewart. 2 Presidential ancestral homes lie in the Strabane area where "Let the Dance Begin", a series of sculptures, marks the entrance to County Donegal on the road to Derry City.

Day 3 - Derry City - Castlerock (57 miles / 92 km)

A tour of the city walls is essential before trekking through the Roe Valley. Pull into the Roe Valley Country Park for a breather before battling up over Binevenagh.  Freewheel down to the coast at Benone where Mussenden Temple clings to the cliff face high above.

Day 4 - Castlerock - Ballycastle (35 miles / 56 km)

Hezlett House lies just outside Castlerock on the way to Coleraine. Cross the Bann and begin your adventure along the Causeway Coastal Route. The coast road from Portstewart features Dunluce Castle, Bushmills Distillery, the Giant's Causeway and some of Northern Ireland's most memorable scenery.

Bushmills DistilleryDay 5 - Ballycastle - Rathlin - Cushendall (35 miles / 56 km)

Catch the boat out to Rathlin Island where an almost traffic free, 12 mile cycle trail takes you from its famous bird sanctuaries over to its seal colonies. Back to the mainland and off toward Torr Head, one of Northern Ireland's most infamous climbs by bike. Coast into Cushendall for a well earned break.

Day 6 - Cushendall - Larne (25 miles / 40 km)

From Cushendall the Causeway Coastal Route snakes off along the water's edge for over 20 miles. Glenariff Forest Park and Waterfall sit high up in the sweeping Glens of Antrim and are well worth the small detour. The sleepy port of Camlough makes a great last lunch stop before finishing the epic journey at the port of Larne.

Experts are at hand to help organise all the awkward stuff, like bike hire, accommodation and even guides, leaving you free to sit back and enjoy the cycling. For more information contact:
