Since your adventure begins in Belfast why not take a few hours exploring this revitalised city. From here take the traffic free Lagan & Lough Cycleway past the incredible Giant's Ring and Minnowburn Beeches. Back in the saddle push on through Lisburn, Oxford Island and into Portadown.
Day 2 - Portadown - Benburb (40 miles / 64 km)From Portadown a short section along the Newry Canal takes you past Gosford Forest Park and into Armagh , where the cathedrals' spires signal your arrival in Saint Patrick's city. Explore the wonderful architecture before cycling on toward Benburb.
Pedal through fantastic countryside on the back roads of Tyrone, through Dungannon Park and passing the 10th Century cross in Donaghmore. A small detour will take you to Tullyhogue Fort before pulling to Cookstown to prepare for the mountains the following day.
The Sperrin Mountains steal the limelight today as you trek through one of Northern Ireland's great unspoiled wildernesses. From Wellbrook Mill, Beaghmore Stone Circles and down the valley into Gortin, the endless landscapes and rich colours repay all the effort. As always, a warm welcome awaits you in Omagh town.
Day 5 - Omagh - Enniskillen (33 miles / 53 km)Recover from the previous day's effort with a trip through the rippling country lanes of Tyrone and Fermanagh. Park up at Enniskillen and explore this magical Lakeland with a boat trip out to Devenish Island or a short walk up to the architectural marvel at Castle Coole. Round off the evening with a trip to the Ardhowen Theatre.
Florencecourt Estate eases you into a tough climb up to the Marble Arch Caves. Here you can explore the subterranean caves by boat then freewheel down along Lough Macnean to the Activity Centre on the shores of Lough Macnean and Lough Melvin. A visit to Belleek's Pottery is a nice diversion before journey's end in Ballyshannon.
